FINEOS bolsters senior management teamFinancial services software provider makes another high-level appointment to expand UK operationFebruary 26, 2001 - Dublin - FINEOS (formerly Managed Solutions Corporation or MSC), Ireland's leading global provider of enterprise solutions for banking and insurance, has just appointed Tony O'Halloran as Managing Director of its UK operation. O'Halloran's role will involve the strategic development of FINEOS UK in order to support the company's existing customer base and develop new business. As part of this objective, the company will expand its team of professional insurance and banking consultants and increase its number of local offices. O'Halloran has over 20 years experience in both the insurance and IT sectors, working with a number of high profile companies. Prior to joining FINEOS, he was Managing Director of Mynd, the second largest provider of technology solutions to the global insurance industry, where he was in charge of their UK, Ireland and Dutch operations. "Tony is a super catch for us, and another vital piece of the jigsaw as we look to grow our overseas operations," says Michael Kelly, CEO of FINEOS. "He has a long track record of management in the insurance and IT sectors and has extensive experience of developing large regional markets, which is crucial for us as we rapidly expand our organisation." O'Halloran is joined by Jim Woods as Business Development Director UK and he will be responsible for increasing sales in the UK market, with an initial focus on the insurance sector. Woods also joins FINEOS from Mynd, and brings with him over 10 years experience of selling technology based business solutions to the European insurance industry. These appointments come on the back of other recent high-level appointments by FINEOS to expand the company's management resource as it caters for exponential growth in products, customers and personnel. Already the company has doubled its staff numbers to 250 since this time last year and expects to double this number by 2002. |
