Managed Solutions Corporation wins IR£5million Britannia Building Society contract

Multi-million pound deal forms vital part of strategy to deploy emerging technologies to improve member services

October 23, 2000 - Dublin - Managed Solutions Corporation (MSC), Ireland's leading global provider of multi-channel CRM and contract management solutions for the banking and insurance sectors has been awarded a IR£5million contract by Britannia, the UK's third largest building society.

As part of an overall STG£40 million IT investment, Britannia Building Society will implement MSC's Clientwise CRM and Workwise workflow solutions over a five-year period. The new systems will enable Britannia to automate several areas of customer service and workflow such as field service, customer self-service, and automatic task management and routing.

MSC will play a key role in Britannia's strategy to use new and emerging technologies to centralise support for all customer-related activity. The Society's ultimate objective is to enable real-time interactions and workflow automation across the company, which will not only serve to greatly reduce costs in a multi-channel environment, but will also allow better-targeted sales, marketing and service, therefore improving member loyalty and profitability.

MSC was awarded the contract after a competitive tender with leading US competitors. MSC has past experience of Britannia's business, having provided the building society with an earlier version of its Clientwise product which subsequently helped Britannia increase their average products holding per customer from 1.3 to 1.8 - an increase of nearly 40 percent.

Making the announcement, John Suffolk, Project Sponsor and Director of Operations at Britannia said, "Managed Solutions was a logical choice. Britannia has worked with MSC for many years and the company is now a natural partner. MSC knows CRM, but more importantly, they know us and our business".

Michael Kelly, Managing Director, MSC added, "We are excited to partner with Britannia on this new strategy. Britannia has been recognised by the Confederation of British Industry as one of the most advanced companies in leveraging customer information".

Mr. Kelly added: "We also feel that this is a clear endorsement that our products are a proven solution for financial services companies and re-confirms our position as the leading supplier to the UK building society sector".
