Managed Solutions moves on North AmericaManaged Solutions Corporation declares its intention to be an international player of note with the opening of its first transatlantic officeDecember 15, 1999 - Dublin - Managed Solutions Corporation, the Dublin-based financial services software specialist, announces the opening of its first US office in Boston. The move is part of the company's strategic plans to establish a North American customer base. Leo Corcoran will head operations in Boston, where a 10-person team will be in place by year-end 2000. As Business Development Manager, Corcoran's role will be to enhance Managed Solutions' growing reputation as a leading software vendor and maximise sales of its component-based technologies. "Managed Solutions' vision is unique," says Corcoran. "We are the only company offering web-enabled, front-to-back-office solutions right across the financial services spectrum. Its potential to help companies meet the demands of doing business in customer-led environments is very powerful. My brief is to ensure that potential is reached in the world's largest, most sophisticated consumer market." In January 2000, Managed Solutions will launch Lifewise, the world's first integrated CRM, workflow and administration system for the life and pensions industry. Lifewise allows users to access unified customer databases across all distribution channels, and can automate every administrative task needed to service an account. By slashing administration costs, Lifewise's flexible architecture will empower companies to respond to the vagaries of today's marketplace by concentrating on customised product development. "The addition of Lifewise to our existing suite of products makes this an opportune time to enter the North American market," says Michael Kelly, Managing Director of Managed Solutions Corporation. "I have full confidence that our technologies will make an impression here within a matter of months, and will be regarded as favourably on this continent as they are in Europe at present. We are already receiving interest from US companies keen to adopt cost-effective approaches to improved business performance." Managed Solutions' systems sell from IR£1-5 million. Gartner Group and IDC expect that such systems will account for the single largest spending the IT sector will make in the next three to five years, estimated to be worth in the region of £2.5-3 billion. |
