FINEOS and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

The FINEOS technical archictecture (TA) is fully SOA-enabled, providing agility and giving customers the ability to easily integrate with existing systems. FINEOS TA uses open industry standards. This mitigates technology vendor lock-in and gives customers maximum flexibility with technology decisions.

SOA is an approach to systems design that will allow institutions to eliminate the invisible barriers between departments, systems, even the outside world.  It will enable IT departments to respond to business demands and needs - rapidly and with ease. 

FINEOS uses the SOA approach in designing its component-based architecture.  With this advanced technological design, FINEOS allows institutions to adopt a solution for a specific business need — for example, claims processing - and then extend that across to other lines of business, or further out to the front- or back-office, eventually leading to an enterprise platform that supports future business growth and change.
