FINEOS Hosts FINEOS Forum 2006

Client base grows and shares in industry and product best practices

FINEOS Corporation, a global provider of expertly developed and packaged componentized software solutions for the insurance, government and financial services industries, announced the successful completion of FINEOS Forum 2006, its annual user community conference and executive forum.  Sessions were held in both North America and Europe.  The events brought together FINEOS clients, partners, and industry leaders to share best practices, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

Michael Kelly, CEO, FINEOS Corporation, kicked off the North American event held in Boston.  “We are very pleased to facilitate this gathering of business and technical experts representing so many leading firms within the insurance industry,” he said.  “We are especially thankful to our clients for enabling our growth in 2006, including our three recent North American clients who have signed on to deploy FINEOS Claims for life insurance lines, including disability.  We continue to grow and strengthen the FINEOS community with your support.”

Deb Smallwood, Managing Director, Insurance, for TowerGroup, was keynote speaker.  Ms. Smallwood discussed how insurance organizations can achieve differentiation in today’s competitive marketplace through the use of technology.  Other sessions provided highlights of new developments in FINEOS’ solutions and processing platform as well as case studies of how insurance carriers are using FINEOS at the line-of-business, cross line-of-business, and enterprise levels.

In addition to the informational sessions, FINEOS celebrated the opening of its new Boston Capability Centre with an evening reception themed on “Innovation through Knowledge” at the MIT University Museum.  Dignitaries at the event included the Irish Consul General, Mr. David Barry, who spoke about the importance of strong relations between Ireland and the United States.  Others in attendance included a cross-section from the insurance industry including clients, partners, analysts, and media.

The European event was held at the Northern Rock headquarters in Newcastle, UK.  This year saw a record turnout, including several first-time attendees and new clients.  The highlight of the event was a presentation by Northern Rock on the way they’ve leveraged FINEOS software to keep pace with their annual growth whilst managing their cost base and improving customer service.

A new FINEOS client also presented a study on their innovative business model, which is the foundation for their recent selection of FINEOS.  More details on this customer will be announced shortly.  “It’s exciting to see ways in which these market leading organizations  are using FINEOS’ advanced technology and software solutions to achieve operational success and grow revenues,” said Mr. Kelly.

During the events, FINEOS proudly announced that its FINEOS Claims solution had been named as a finalist for an E-Fusion Award, presented by the A.M. Best Company.

“Our customers and the industry are recognizing the value that FINEOS’ business solutions and our processing platform can deliver,” Mr. Kelly said.  “FINEOS continues to bring measurable return-on-investment in operational excellence, customer service, and revenue enablement to our clients.  These successful events and the E-Fusion Award nomination are a validation of this.”
