- Honoured for its innovative use of analytics to proactively improve client outcomes for injured New Zealand citizens and visitors
FINEOS Corporation, a global market leader in providing core processing technology for Life, Accident and Health insurance and accident compensation organizations, today announced that the winner of the 2015 Innovation & Excellence Award is the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) of New Zealand.
The award was presented by the Irish Ambassador to the US, Ms Anne Anderson, in Washington DC. The award was won by ACC for its innovative and ground-breaking development of a predictive analytics solution to assist in citizen care management. Over 2,000 employees at ACC use FINEOS to manage accident compensation and care for the citizens of New Zealand.
The Innovation & Excellence Award recognizes the organization’s use of technology to deliver business innovation, customer care and operational excellence. ACC provides comprehensive, no-fault personal injury cover for all New Zealand residents and visitors. Through the use of its analytics model, which is delivered via the FINEOS Analytics framework, ACC achieved significant improvement in claimant outcomes and client service. As part of this project, ACC uses historical injury data to identify trends and make sensible predictions in order to speed up the care process and deliver improved outcomes for new injury cases. ACC was able to show real outcome benefits including:
- 38% faster contact with clients who need early assistance
- 25% reduction in inbound call volume
- 10% improvement in timeliness of Weekly Compensation payments

The award ceremony took place as part of the FINEOS Global Summit in Washington DC. A record number of representatives from 40 leading Disability and Care organizations from around the world gathered to exchange ideas, listen to thought leadership sessions and hear about the FINEOS product roadmap and future plans.
