icare – Insurance and Care New South Wales – is the state organization delivering insurance and care services to the people, communities and businesses of NSW. icare provides workers’ compensation insurance to more than 326,000 public and private sector employers in NSW and their 3.6 million employees and insures builders, homeowners and government assets.
Since 2008, the organization has employed FINEOS solutions to help deliver treatment and care to people requiring long-term support from workplace injury or road accidents.
In FY22, icare supported 62,000 injured workers and 1,722 people injured in road accidents. It cared for 5,261 workers and dependents whose lives have been affected by a dust disease acquired through workplace exposure to hazardous dust.
