Manitoba Public Insurance presented with Excellence in Business Innovation Award

FINEOS Corporation, a market leading provider of claims management software, concluded its seventh annual customer conference, the FINEOS Claims Global Summit, in Toronto, Canada today. Over 100 senior delegates from global insurers attended the four day Summit which was based around the theme of ‘Putting the Customer First: Driving Innovation in Claims’.

The FINEOS Innovation & Excellence Awards recognize customers’ use of FINEOS technology to deliver business innovation and operational excellence. New York Life Direct and the Manitoba Teachers’ Society (MTS) were presented with an award for “Maximizing the Impact of FINEOS Product Capability” as a result of their vision, dedication and hard work in using FINEOS Claims to achieve business success.  Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) won in the category of “Excellence in Business Innovation” for its establishment of a Government Global User Group (GUG).

New York Life Direct sells Life insurance directly to consumers and has over two million in force policies. NYL went live on FINEOS Claims this year and is targeting significant benefits and savings across the claims lifecycle.

Manitoba Teachers’ Society went live nine months after the requirements phase.  They leveraged the FINEOS Disability business content as the basis for their solution while championing an approach of staying as close to base product and content as possible.  MTS maximized the use of FINEOS configuration tools to shape the solution to fit their particular claims and payments processing needs.

Manitoba Public Insurance was instrumental in setting up the FINEOS Government User Group (GUG), a government-focused working group to foster relationships between FINEOS’ government customers. Since its inception, the group has provided many benefits including data sharing, benchmarking best practices in service delivery, and opportunities to influence FINEOS’ product development and evolution.

This year’s FINEOS Claims Global Summit agenda offered delegates over 30 presentations, workshops, advisory meetings, and opportunities to network with other insurers and hear from global leaders and experts on real world examples of best practice in claims management.

Commenting in his closing speech at the Summit, Michael Kelly, CEO, FINEOS Corporation said, “The continued success of our Global Claims Summit is proof of the valuable opportunities it presents for FINEOS to meet with our customers and gain important feedback but also for our customers who have attended from Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe to come together and discuss approaches to shared industry issues and experiences.
